Signed in as:
I will serve for one term and one term only.
I will sign a contract stating that if I seek a second term, I must pay $1,000,000 to the Granite Education Foundation.
Fun fact: I don't have $1,000,000 dollars to spare. One term it is.
Politicians shouldn't be running for re-election when they should be working.
By eliminating re-election in Utah, our leaders will be more effective, less beholden to donors, and more likely to represent the People, and not themselves.
I will introduce an amendment to the Utah Constitution which:
- Limits Governor and Lieutenant Governor to one 6-year term
- Limits Utah State Senators to one 8-year term
- Limits Utah State Representatives to one 6-year term
None will be permitted to run for re-election.
We have a small family and a small dog. We'd rather have an apartment downtown.
I can walk up the hill to work. Lord knows I need the exercise.
Seriously. I will have cameras installed in my office and in the office of every government official reporting to me.
Unless there is a highly sensitive personnel issue, or some other matter deemed to be a risk to public safety, every single recording will be made public within 72 hours, with a clear explanation of why any material is redacted.
Any redacted material can be requested by media or other groups, and all efforts will be made to accommodate.
I pledge to have two cell phones -- one for personal use and one for official use.
I pledge to refuse and any all non-personal calls to my personal cell phone.
I pledge to take every official phone call from my office land line or cell phone, and pledge to have 100% of those calls recorded and transcripts made available to the public.
